Rick holds bachelor and master degrees in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research at the Georgia Power Company Research Center (now NEETRAC) helped to assure that the latest innovations and technologies made it onto the power grid. Rick's awards include: "Engineer of the Year" at Georgia Power in 1998, "Technology Applications Recognition" award from the Electric Power Research Institute in 1994, the Jesse H. Neal Certificate of Merit for editorial excellence in 1996, and numerous regional and national awards from the American Society of Business Press Editor (ASBPE). Mr. Bush is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Rick also serves as editorial director of Transmission & Distribution World.
Paul earned his B.S. and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California-Berkeley and is a registered professional engineer. He has worked in the energy industry for more than 25 years, developing and implementing advanced energy technologies. As research director for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. he pioneered methodologies used in the design, maintenance and control of energy delivery systems. As a consultant he has provided guidance to utilities and the vendor community, nationally and internationally.
Nikki Chandler has been online editor at Transmission & Distribution World magazine for seven years, writing and compiling e-newsletters for the power delivery industry as well as contributing editorial support for the magazine. Before working with T&D World, Nikki was managing editor of Mobile Radio Technology and RF Design magazines, business-to-business communications publications. She has contributed to several publications over the past 15 years, including Waste Age, Wireless Review, Power Electronics Technology, and Arkansas Times. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas.
