Colorado State University's New Dining Hall Emphasizes Sustainability in Form and Function

Featured in Food Management's May issue, Colorado State's new dining hall has undergone a $3.8 million makeover of its interior. Braiden Hall dining center features new hoods, freezers, coolers and production equipment as well as a new dishroom complete with a pulper to compost waste.

According to the article, the Fort Collins campus styles itself the “Green University” for its internationally recognized clean energy research and for its sustainability efforts on both its campus and elsewhere. The energy that is used is all “green,” specified as such from the local utility.
